In Formal Education, we partner with local schools, colleges, and universities to enhance formal education systems. We support educational infrastructure development, teacher training programs, and curriculum enhancements to ensure quality education for students.

In Informal Education, we facilitate community engagement, vocational training, workshops, and mentorship programs. Nurturing skill development and knowledge empowers individuals to income and improve their livelihood.

MSOCD orphan education has the following Objectives:

  • increase access to free education for disadvantaged orphans in Uganda;
  • increase the free access to education for children of prisoners;
  • provide vocational training to poor and economically disadvantaged youth;
  • provide a safe environment for proper socialization, counseling and education of orphaned children;
  • integrate homeless/parentless children into the normal culture of Uganda.

Our aim is to develop a child-partnership project in Kagumu and a childcare and youth center

We have many orphaned children studying at neighboring government primary schools in Kagumu. However, the needs are great and the study environment is not one that a serious educator would for a child.

Why orphan education? Children face inadequate nutrition, basic health care, housing, and clothing. Very few of these families can afford to send their children to school, with young girls at particular risk of being denied formal or vocational education. In both urban and rural areas, many orphans are struggling to survive on their own in child-headed households. Many others are forced to live on the street.

We have over 200 recorded orphans many of them still in primary school in Kagumu area alone. MSOCD struggles to provide for their welfare and education.
